End of Chapter Update

Published on by Jennifer Potter.

I definitely said I was going to make a blog post on Friday and I definitely didn't. I had a rough day for completely not-comic-related reasons, so I decided to treat myself to a day off which meant watching the most innocuous thing I could find (in this case Escape to the Country on Netflix) and drawing skies because that's something I want to get better at.

So here you go...skies:

They're all referenced from photos I took around my neighborhood in San Francisco (the last one is the view from my apartment. I had a lot of fun with these and I intend to keep adding to this series of studies.

So yeah, chapter break! I said I was going to take three weeks, which would put us at the last Monday in May, but, that's Memorial Day here in the US and I'm spending the weekend with friends in LA. So, I'm currently thinking I'll start the following Monday, June 5th. On one hand that feels like so much time, but on the other I'm sure it won't be nearly enough to accommodate everything on my to do list!

At the top of the list of course is chapter layout, followed by creating a small buffer of pages, setting up a store for prints, setting up a Patreon, and finally doing some site updates like adding a cast page. Right now I'm looking at that list and thinking no way, something's going to have to slip, but we'll see how it goes. If you don't hear from me for a while, it's probably because I've been crushed by the weight responsibility so send help! XD

It's worth noting that that list doesn't include my ongoing "downtime" project of updating some of the older, more bothersome pages of Echo's Rift, in advance of a print Kickstarter, but I'll share more about that in another post!

For now I'll leave you with the sky drawing I did this morning...a little something in honor of the French election!
