Of course Eliot's good mood couldn't last. But I'm sure I'd be just as angry in the same situation. Fortunately, bringing home a stray wasn't that big of a deal when I was a kid. We had a bit of a menagerie over the years: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, a squirrel and even an owl.
The one time I recall bringing home a stray when it wasn't exactly okay was when my cat had run away and I thought I'd found it a few streets over. But when I got home my mom said, "Um that's not the your cat. Your cat was hit by a car." So I guess I'd unwittingly stolen a neighbor's cat (which we brought back). I guess Mom wanted to spare me the pain of my cat dying but ended up being an accessory to cat burglary. Get it? (*´艸`*)
Hope you had a good weekend. See you Wednesday!
