Well hullo there! How long has it been? Only two weeks? But it feels like an eternity!
I hope you all had a great couple of weeks. I certainly did. I got soooooo much done in that time. Really! 28 pages laid out, penciled, inked and ready for color! Isn't that incredible? There's just one eensy weensy little catch...they're not for Echo's Rift. (Quickly dodges whatever nearby thing you've chosen to throw.)
So yeah, two weeks off and I still have zero buffer. Why would I do something so irresponsible? Basically I got it into my head that I wanted to produce a short story this month, which ended up being a lot more work than I thought (isn't it always?), so I've essentially been drawing around the clock to get it done. Now, if you're anything like me, you're thinking, "I don't care about your stupid side project, I come here for one thing and one thing only, and don't you go getting distracted!!" Buuuuuut hopefully you will enjoy this little comic as much as I've enjoyed working on it. It's a creepy fairy tale that I'm trying my damnedest to have out by Halloween. And if it goes over well, I will make more, but at a much slower pace, because my current schedule is not sustainable. XD
Anyhoo, here's a shiny new page of Echo's Rift, right on schedule! I did manage to thumbnail some sequences (because I have my priorities), and I'm super excited about the beginning of this chapter. It's gonna give me an opportunity to take a more graphic approach with composition. Oooh and new color palette! Turns out I really like painting night-time scenes.
Enjoy, and see you guys on Wednesday!
