Hi all! Here's the other side of the spread! As usual, the full spread is below. I generally like to have the panels begin on the second page, but the next few layouts just didn't work as well when I tried to begin them on this page. But I actually really like how this spread turned out, and maybe it would've been less effective with panels floating over it. :)
I want to give a shout out to Walid Feghali (aka SoldatNordsken) who made some of the photoshop brushes I used for the trees in this scene. I've had them for a while, but haven't really made much use of them because, well, I basically didn't know what I was doing well enough to get the effect I wanted. But I decided to give them a try in this scene, and they worked! The lesson here is that it doesn't matter how fancy your brushes are, if you don't have a handle on color and light yet, you're gonna run into issues. That said, it's an excellent brush set and it's free so go get it here! And check out some of Walid's art while you're at it because its amazing! Ooh and it looks like the brush set has been updated since I downloaded them, so bonus!!
See you Friday!
