Late page today. Full disclosure, this one drove me crazy. I don't know if you've noticed but I've been trying to not outline my characters this chapter, but I don't think it's working. Even though I get to skip the "inking" step (which isn't my motivation), it ends up taking longer. I suppose that would be okay if it came out the way I want it to, but it doesn't.
Truth be told, I picked a challenging style for Echo's Rift. I didn't quite grasp that when I started out. Sometimes (usually at the end of the day when I'm rushing to light and shade everything) I think to myself, wouldn't it have been soooo awesome if all I had to do was color in some line drawings? XD That's what I did for A Wooden Cage. The whole thing was much easier and way faster and it still looked pretty good, to me anyway. With Echo's Rift, maybe because I spend so much time on it, I can't help but see how far it is from where I want it to be. There's just so much I want to improve, and I guess I'm feeling a little impatient.
Anyway, I'm not fishing for compliments or anything. Just venting a bit. :)
See you Friday!
